Borys Pylypovych Kvasha (Boris Philipovich Kvasha) was elected as an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in 2004. He was born in 1938. 10th of May in the village of the Shukayvoda, Khrystynivsk District (Cherkasy Region). By nationality he is Ukrainian. He lives in St Petersburg and has a Russian citizenship. In 1972 he graduated from the Leningrad State University, specialty: a lawyer; and the Leningrad State Pedagogical University named after A. Gertzen. Doctor of Pedagogics (1999), Doctor of Law (2004), Professor (2001). The International Institute of Independent Pedagogical Researches in the city of St Petersburg, Director. His life way: Konegon Mines, the city of Chystyakovo, a student of technical school #10, the city of Snizhne, machinist of coal-plough machine, service in the army, machinist of coal-plough machine on Spitsbergen Island, Norway; instructor of municipal mining trade union in the city of Torez, director of the Primorsk Professional Lyceum in Leningrad (St Petersburg), deputy director of VIPK PTO; senior staff scientist of VND and PTO, St Petersburg; Professor of the St Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, director of MINPV. Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Science and International Academy of Ecology and Life Protection Sciences (MANEB), a corresponding member of APN of Ukraine, the International Fund of O.G. Nebolsin laureate, best person of the year of 2005 in the Russian Federation. The Head of Northern and Southern Makarov Association of the Russian Federation, the Vice-president of the International Fund of O.G. Nebolsin, the Head of the council of Russian and Ukrainian Brotherhood in St Petersburg. Author of 306 scientific works and 30 manuals in field of professional activity, personality's psychology, history of professional and technical education of Ukraine, Byelorussia, Russia, Bulgaria and Norway, problems of high school and upbringing safety-type personality. Awards: medal "For valorous labour" (1972), medal "Veteran of labour" (1984), M.V. Lomonosov (2001); Academician V.A. Legasov (2001). Mr. Kvasha was admitted as an Honored Education Worker of Ukraine, Honored Professional Education of Russia, Bulgaria and Germany. He is married and has a daughter. Hobbies: painting, photography, history of pedagogy, gardening and acmelogy.
