Vadym Anatoliyovych Skorohodov became an academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, department of Economics, in 1992 and was elected as the Assistant to the Head of Southern Department of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in 2004. He was born in 1952, 21st of June in the city of Mykolayiv and has Ukrainian citizenship. Higher education: the Mykolayiv Shipbuilding Institute named after Admiral S.J. Makarov, Ship Electrical Equipment Faculty, and specialty – engineer-electrician (1969-1976), the Academy for National Economy of the USSR Council of Ministers (Moscow), Management Economics (1991); candidate of technical science (1982), Assistant Professor (1988); the Southern Slavonic Institute of the Kyiv Slavonic University, Rector (since 1994); Assistant Professor, Head of the chair, First Pro-rector of the Southern Training Personnel Academy, Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine (1983-1994); Scientific Executive of Mykolayiv Department at the Ukrainian State Slavonic Centre of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2003). He is a member of the rectors’ council of Mykolayiv Region (since 2001), member-correspondent of the International Kyrylo and Mefodiy Academy of Slavonic Enlightenment, Moscow, Russia (2003). He is author and co-author of over 100 scientific, scientific-methodological works, 7 inventions, 9 studying books certified by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, particularly: “Management of High School” (2003), “Ecological Management and Audit” (2003), “Actual Problems of Personality Formation in Pedagogical Process” (2001), “Management of Labour Safety Protection in Industry” (2005), “Land Management” (2006). He was admitted as an Honored Education Worker of Ukraine (2006) and became the Prize laureate of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (2004). He was awarded “Gold Sign of the Ukrainian Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs” (2004), the Sign of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “Honored Person of Education of Ukraine” (1999). Also he was the winner of the program: “The Person of The Year. The Citizen of The Year” in nomination “Science and High School” (2002). Hobby: literature.
